The Empowerment Project (TEP) has been commissioned by the London Borough of Croydon as part of the Department of Education Holiday Activities and Food Programme to deliver four Easter Clubs during April 11th - 22nd 2022, for children on vacation during the Easter period.
Each holiday club will provide fun and enriching activities that provide children with opportunities to develop or consolidate skills or knowledge, to consolidate existing skills and knowledge, or to try out new experiences.
This Easter Club will positively build on the valuable experiences gained at TEP’s 2021 Summer and Winter Clubs, and the Schedule of Activities will continue mixing personal development, skills training, and learning, with fun physically beneficial activities as follows.
TEP aims to continue creating safe spaces where children from different backgrounds can continue to engage each other with ease and confidence, develop friendships, explore, and defeat personal challenges, and become their best selves.
See E-Flyer for more information and registration.

On the first day of the empowerment project, I was greeted by Ronke as me and a few other students were lectured about the Key to Success. During that time we managed to socialize and learn about careers and how to boost our confidence.
Then soon after the weeks were a breeze of fun activities and experiences and I got to interview a barrister from the court!
Soon after we went to the Tate Modern, ice skating and sailing!
I would give this camp a full 10!
I heard about the club via Croydon Council. It met my experiences and more.
My child did things they had never done before eg, sailing.
The activities were good for them to experience especially after the lockdown and so many closed venues.
More communication by phone if any change of time to return to the church.
Yes definitely- sending the child to camp next year.
I was sent an email from Croydon fostering team.
My child benefitted by having activities to take part in throughout summer. She said all the coordinators were very friendly and made all the children feel welcome.
She loved the ice skating best and will continue this activity.
It would be good to add activities on Wednesdays
Yes I would send my child back.
I would also recommend this to other families
